It’s come to my attention that the comic will be celebrating its second birthday this month. Woo! I’m honestly a bit surprised that I made it this far. Almost at chapter 10 in two years. The pessimist in me said I would have stopped doing this for one reason or another before it even got to its first year and now we’re going into year 2.
Over the last two years I’ve gained quite a few loyal readers. You guys are all completely awesome. Even those of you over in the corner that don’t like it. You’re awesome, too, for even popping in to look. This isn’t for everyone and I respect that. I want to thank you for looking anyways.
Here’s to another fabulous year! Who knows? Maye I’ll actually have it almost finished by the time the next birthday comes around.

The comic also has its own forum now.

There’s not much there right now but I only just started it this weekend, so… Big thanks to my friend Trallt of Geode Corner for starting this up.
Feel free to register and ask questions, discuss the latest chapter, and so on.
It’s been a while since I’ve done a blog post of any kind.
I’ve mentioned this project in passing a few times. I know most webcomicers frown on redrawing old pages; however, in this case I felt it was completely necessary as the two different styles of art clash horribly. Not only do I want things to look more or less consistent, I needed to add some pages in and that would really mess things up if I left the old pages alone.
Now, I’ve redrawn all of chapter 1 and got some of it coloured. A few of those pages are even shaded! I’ve been posting some of them to the dA mirror, but I’m not really sure how to put them up here. Ideally, I’d set up a non-comicpress site for them and the side comic I did for 24 hour comic day. That takes time to set up. If I set up a gallery of those comics like what I did with the Sky Lords mini comic, would that work for you guys?
If you’re curious and don’t want to poke through my dA gallery and don’t want to wait for me to post things, you can find all of the currently coloured redrawn pages here. There are more pages in that folder than I’ve posted to dA. It’s my hope that this will help fill in some of the story gaps that you may have noticed from the old version and that this will help things flow a lot smoother.

On another note, I have a formspring account. You may have seen my tweeting replies to questions. I’ve gotten quite a few good ones from friends, readers, and some other people who posted anonymously (which is cool with me, really). Please, feel free to ask questions and I’ll answer as best as I can without spoiling things.
I’m open to any kind of questions. Ask me about me, about the comic and its characters, about any of my other writing projects, heck even ask just random stuff. It’s all good.
This is pretty much cross posted everywhere, but it can’t hurt, can it? I mean, not all of you visit my website regularly or even know of my comic’s dA mirror, so…
Frumph over at Webcomicplanet is once again running WAR!, a battle of webcomics. It was a blast last year even though I got creamed by a snarky German. (Curse you, Union of Heroes!)
Uh, anyways…
Basically, I’m looking for help fro you guys. There’s only so much I can do on my own. If it’s not too much trouble, I’m basically looking for reviews of the comic. What’s in it for you? A free piece of art of the character of your choice (OC, Cannon, whatever), hand drawn and coloured. No, I’m not above using bribery. Be harsh, be nice, I don’t really mind. Say it sucks, say it’s good, just be honest. What you say in your review will not affect my art giving in the slightest.
So today we start with the Tuesday and Thursday updates. That’s so awesome isn’t it? In addition to getting more pages drawn and coloured, I’ve been updating old ones. Adding shading, fixing panels and speech balloons. Most importantly, I’ve found a new font. It’s fairly similar to the one I’ve already been using, but the font’s creator says its free for use, even if you get published, which is a huge advantage over the one I was already using (which is free for personal use but not for publishing).
If you’re interested, the font is here.
I’ve spent my day updating fonts on comic pages and stuff. It’s hard work, but it’s worth it in the end I think.
I thought it would be fun to run a contest this year. I’m posting this up a little early so that there’s plenty of time to do this.
This is inspired by Liliy’s Annual WAM Pair-a-thon. The objective is to draw your favorite pairing whether real or imaginary. Given that there’s only one established pairing (Nalshen and Mienna) this could be interesting I think. you can use any character that shown up in the comic to date (though I think using Kenjariyo or Toef would be awkward and hard).
Art can be in any medium: digital, pixel, traditional, finger paint…As long as the characters are recognizable.
Deadline for entries: February 10
